In 1986, two men with over 60 years combined oilfield experience, joined together to create Taber Oilfield Rentals. This company supplied new and used tri-cone rock bits as well as serviced and retipped customer rock bits.

The company progressively grew and in 1991 became Premiere Rock Bits. It was while servicing and retipping tri-cone bits that a bit was envisioned that could last longer, drill faster and have the ability to be completely repairable.

In 1997, using the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques, the first “Diamond Bullet™” PDC rock bit was invented. Premiere Rock Bits manufactured that bit and within one year, business skyrocketed.

The future of drilling in Canada and around the world was being realized and it was decided at this point to make the production of its trademarked poly-crystalline diamond compact (PDC) rock bit the company’s primary focus.

In 1999, Premiere Rock Bits changed its name to Premiere Manufacturing Ltd. after an alliance was struck between Premiere and Hat Bit Supply. Under the umbrella of the newly formed Diamond Bullet Corporation, Premiere would now look after manufacturing, Hat Bit Supply would look after domestic markets and DBC International would look after International markets.
Now a business with over 70 employees, the Diamond Bullet Corporation supplies its exceptional PDC rock bits to major producers in Western Canada including Encana Corp., Husky Energy, Talisman Energy and Anderson Exploration.

In recent years, under the guidance of its DBC International division, the Diamond Bullet Corporation has expanded its supply to include oil and gas producers and mining companies currently operating in Argentina, Mexico, the United States and the Ukraine and is looking ahead to markets opening up in Australia, Indonesia, Pakistan and South Africa
